A mission of caring

The mission of The Villas at Maple Ridge and our parent company, Wisconsin Illinois Senior Housing Inc., is to serve elderly and disabled individuals by providing quality housing, healthcare and other services to enhance the lives of those we serve. We are located on the same campus as our sister skilled nursing community, Maple Ridge Care Center.

We're non-profit

As a 501c3 non-profit our main goal is service, not making a profit. Any profit realized above our operating expenses is reinvested in our facilities. Because of our mission of high-quality service, we rely partially on financial gifts to help meet all of our financial needs. Although we accept Medicaid, our expenses for quality care and housing far exceed those funds. If you are interested in supporting our mission to positively impact the lives of seniors, please consider a tax-deductible cash donation to The Villas at Maple Ridge.

To make a donation, contact our Administrator at 715.939.1759.

All donations are tax deductible and funds received are used to help improve our building, help improve or increase the services we offer, and help provide new programs and equipment to enrich the lives of our residents. Thank you for your continued support!

Our history

Wisconsin Illinois Senior Housing, Inc. (WISH) is a non-profit corporation and began in 1989 with the purpose of operating skilled nursing homes, assisted livings, and other senior housing entities so that quality housing and healthcare would be available to seniors. Today, WISH owns 18 facilities in Wisconsin and northern Illinois, and a Wisconsin home health agency.

The Villas at Maple Ridge was built in 2017 in the former Spooner Hospital building which was acquired by Maple Ridge Care Center skilled nursing facility when the hospital moved to a new location. Assisted living offered at The Villas is a natural fit on the Maple Ridge Care Center campus, providing a continuum of care to seniors in and around Spooner.

All WISH facilities are managed by Carriage Healthcare Co. Inc., a seasoned healthcare management company with proven policies and procedures that help facilities run at their best. Together, CHC and WISH share the philosophy of meeting the needs of our elder population with quality care and housing options. In addition to managing WISH's facilities, CHC also manages two non-WISH facilities: one in northern Wisconsin and one in New Mexico. Carriage brings vast management experience, and provides the latest tools and technology, policies, and staffing resources, while keeping up with today's complicated mandates that affect senior care.
